Easter!

We had a great Easter - enjoying time with family and some yummy food, but mostly being so thankful for the gift that is Easter - Jesus' death and resurrection!

Here's a glimpse of our day:

EmJ's hunting skills (eggs, that is)

And YES! Call the news! A family picture! :o)
Luke was seriously in the middle of a nap when we took this, so he's clearly not really awake. And EmJ had changed out of her dress so she could play on the swing set... but it's still a picture of the 4 of us and I love it! Thanks, Ken!
I'm going to try to be better about actually getting in front of the camera... a little. ;)

PS- Keep lookin' - there are 2 new blogs below!

Egg-eriffic

EmJ got to dye eggs the other day - Luke's still too young and too crazy for me to allow him to dye eggs. :o)

We've done all kinds of things with eggs in the past- painting, coloring, stickers... no matter what EmJ always loves it. Her favorite part? Eating them!

eggs_01
Watching the tablets dissolve - she thought this was super cool cause they were "fizzy and bubbling" ;)

eggs_02
I wrote her name on this one with white crayon - this is her discovering that fun little surprise!

eggs_03
Stirring them up!

The final products! Well, sort of. She added tons of stickers to them after this was taken. And I haven't taken a picture of her eating any, but man, does she love them! :o)

Crazy Time with Daddy

Just a few pictures of EmJ and Luke playing and having tons of fun with their fabulous Daddy! :o)

washington fun! part 4:bowling!

This is the last of the Washington blogs... bowling! This was super fun - for the girls especially. Luke only "bowled" a few times and then he just wanted to run around. Luckily, we had planned on getting lunch there, so eventually we strapped him into a highchair and gave him some food. :o) The girls had a great time bowling. EmJ had never been, so Chloe and Ireland were so excited to take her. Good, good times!

We had so much fun in Washington... hope these blogs showed you just a glimpse of our awesome visit! :o)

washington fun! part three:charlie's safari

One day while we were in Washington we went to this super fun place called Charlie's Safari. It has lots of bounce houses and slides and a huge play structure too. The kids had a blast!

There was an area for kids 4 and under only, which was awesome for Luke. He climbed a big ladder and went down the slide and I just expected him to come running back around quickly. Well, he didn't, so I went up the slide. Little did I know, it was an obstacle course around the entire perimeter of the bounce house. I went through it expecting to find Luke stuck somewhere crying or something, but I got through the whole thing without finding him. As I went down another slide at the end, I was starting to stress out a little. Another parent saw me and asked if I was looking for a tiny guy with dark hair. Yep, that's Luke. Turns out he was already climbing back up the ladder for another go at it! :o) This kid is crazy! The first set of pictures are me following Luke through the obstacle course.

Chris brought some Army glow sticks (there's a real name for them, but I forgot it) :o) home and we gave the girls a glow-in-the-dark bath. It was awesome!!!

washington fun! part one:random snapshots

EmJ, Luke, and I recently went to Washington to visit our fabulous friends, the Shellaby family! We had a fantastic time, of course!

We had such a great time with Chris, Kimmi, Ireland, Chloe, and their newest addition- Gunner! What a fun trip this was... we were bummed Jeff couldn't come this year, but we still had a good time. It was bittersweet coming home- we were glad to be home, see Jeff, and sleep in our own beds, but so sad to leave some of our favorite people ever. Love you guys!!!

Not the best picture ever, but you can see the size comparison of Parker and Luke. When Parker is standing up, she's obviously bigger than Luke. ;) They had a lot of fun together- Parker is a fabulous dog who loves kids! And she's so pretty!

I didn't end up getting a picture of all the kids together... bummer! I guess we were just too busy having fun! :o)
