the children's museum

We got to go with our fabulous friends Scott, Deb, Emmerly, and Nola to the Children's Museum a few weeks ago. We had a grand time!

Luke had a blast playing in the "younger kids" area - he could crawl all around and do whatever he wanted!

This was definitely a favorite room... EmJ, Luke, and I explored this room while Scott, Deb, Em, and Nola were working on building something, so I didn't get any pictures of them with the bubbles... bummer!

These bubbles were awesome - they were made with dry ice or something so when they touched your skin they popped/evaporated like this! So cool!

We also played a lot in this cool room designed to make kids feel like they are bugs or birds - there's a huge ant hill to crawl through, a birds nest... all kinds of fun stuff.

We played for a little bit in the awesome grocery store, but we didn't get much time there because the museum was closing.

We had a fabulous time with The Melvin Family when they were here... love them! Deb got some group pictures of us on her camera, so hopefully she'll post a blog with those soon! (hint, hint!) :o)

yes, it's already time...

...for another monthly update! Luke is 11 months!

His biggest "change" since last month is his mobility... he's been crawling for quite awhile now, but he's crazy fast now. Jeff likes to call him "Speedy" instead of Luke :o) He loves to explore, to stand up and cruise, cruise, cruise, to look at things, to play with any and everything, to put stuff in his mouth (neat), to crawl up the stairs (yes, there's a gate-but if we're there we let him do it - he loves it!), to just go, go, go!

He also loves EmJ (that's not new), and gets crazy giddy whenever Jeff gets home from work. He usually grins huge and says "hiiiiiii dada!" Super cute!

I'm sure there's more stuff that I'll think of later, but for now... pictures. :o)

emj got to go camping with daddy and papa (this was practice the night before) - they had a blast! luke, nana, and i met them the next day and spent the day on the lake. emj tubed with jeff and me and she even tried knee-boarding (we went super slow, but she loved it!). i didn't bring my camera (i know, i know), but next time i will. :o) good times!
