pictures!!! finally!

I know, I know... it's been toooooo long. Here are some pictures: :o)EmJ got Candy Land for Christmas and she loves to play - so here we are!

The other day after EmJ's nap she was watching The Backyardigans and Maverick just jumped up on her lap and laid down... she loved it!

...and clearly Mav enjoyed it too!

This cracks me up -the other day EmJ sat next to me, put her cheek next to mine, and said, "We are friends!" Stinkin' cute!!!

One of EmJ's favorite things is to greet Daddy outside when he gets home from work (as long as it's not snowing or something) - here's a picture after she went to get him. :o) I tried to take pictures of her "getting" him - but there's lots of running, which is hard to take a picture of...

We had Kimmi and the girls over for the Superbowl and I bought olives cause Ireland and Chloe really like them - EmJ had fun putting them on her fingers, but wasn't too big of a fan. I can't blame her... EWW!
EmJ got quite the owie the other day at the park - she was just running and tripped and her face got pretty scraped up. She didn't cry for very long at all - she was excited to be at the park! (Which, by the way, was awesome - February at the park? Only in awesome Colorado!) This is the beginning of the owie...

Just one last picture - I just took this one this morning - her owie is obviously doing better! :o)

Yep... we're pregnant!!!! We were going to wait just a couple more weeks before we told, but we're just so excited! We went to the doctor last week and got to see the little one -who is measuring fabulously and has a wonderful little heartbeat. :o) I am 10 weeks today and we are due August 17th! Woo-hoo!!!!

Christmas Part 2

We had a fabulous Christmas this year... it's so fun to see Christmas through a child's eyes. EmJ really enjoyed it and understood a lot of it, so that was just tons of fun!

EmJ got a big girl bed!!! And clearly, she loves it!

EmJ opened all her presents on her big girl bed (which was obviously set up in the living room when she came down Christmas morning). Here she is playing with her new stuff... she didn't want to get off her bed! :o)

Christmas Eve we got to hang out at my sister's with my parents and grandparents and eat delicious Italian food (our tradition). After opening stuff Christmas morning we went to brunch at my parent's house... super fun! Then, Jeff's mom and step-dad got to come over and hang out for the afternoon and have dinner with us. It was tons of fun for all! Hope you and your loved ones had a great Christmas this year... and remembered why we celebrate Christmas in the first place... in EmJ's words, "It's baby Jesus' birthday!!!"

Piano Man!

We had a very fun Thanksgiving this year! We got to go to my sister's house and hang out with family and eat lots of yummy food... what's not to like?! :o)

I wasn't good about taking pictures at all (sorry!) but I did get this video...

We were playing American Idol Karaoke and EmJ (well, Daddy) thought she needed to sing "Piano Man" - yes, she knows that song... it's on a cd in our room and she loves to listen to it and "Dance, Dance, Dance" by Steve Miller Band. :o) She didn't really hold the microphone up to her mouth, but if you listen, you can hear her singing...

no more binks...!

That's right... EmJ is all done with binks (pacifiers)! She's only had them at night for a long time now, but decided she was ready and we're done with them all together! Woo-hoo!!!

We had a special night last night with EmJ - we went to dinner and then got a cookie at the mall. And... she got to pick out a special pillow to have instead of her binks.

It's very cool because it looks like a stuffed animal, but it can unfold to a regular pillow...
...like this! She obviously loves it! :o)

She did really well going to sleep last night - she woke up once and asked where her bink was, but I just told her she was a big girl and we were all done with binks and she went right back to sleep! Yipee!!!

Sheesh... she's growing up so fast! :o)

a very happy halloween!

We had a very fun Halloween this year! I was pretty excited for it because it's the first year that EmJ could really, really enjoy everything going on. We went to our church's Pumpkin Patch party where there were tons and tons of super fun things to do! There was a hall of candy filled with lots of fun characters, carnival-type games, a play area, lots of bouncy houses, music, food... all kinds of good stuff. And boy, did we have fun! Our fabulously cute Snow White!!!
There was face paint and Kimmi had the awesome idea of EmJ getting an apple cause she was Snow White... stinkin' cute!

When we walked into the gym, EmJ bolted for the basketball shoot... not sure if she saw candy, or it was just her love for basketball :o) but it was pretty funny!
