Mad Skills... :o)

EmJ absolutely loves to learn... It's so fun for us to watch her figuring new things out all the time. She has always loved reading and her favorite thing to learn about is definitely her letters and words, which she calls "A-B." Stinkin' cute! So - she knows her ABCs and she recognizes all her letters - in or out of alphabetical order. I didn't really think this was all that possible at this age, but it's true. I took this first video the other day while she was eating and she just decided to tell me about a few of the letters on her Jayhawk plate. She does this a lot at the grocery store or when she sees letters on tv - she'll just tell you all about the letters she's seeing... she's hilarious!

This video is of EmJ counting from 1-10. She loves to count, especially if she sees me pushing the numbers on my phone -which is what we're doing here. She also really loves to count in Spanish - I'll try to get that on video soon cause it's so funny! Enjoy!

Here are just a few new pictures... We were on our way to watch a KU game the other night and EmJ decided she should wear Daddy's beanie... so cute! She would put it on and take it off while she was playing and watching the game too... such a funny kid!
One day EmJ realized that she could "sit" on the bottom rung of our chairs - and now she does it a lot... probably because we laugh when she does. :o)
EmJ obviously adores Maverick... the adoration is not always mutual... but he's good with her and likes her most of the time. For those of you who don't know him, he's super skiddish, so if EmJ gets too loud or something, he just runs off! Ha ha!

I don't know about you guys, but I can't believe it's February already! I'm definitely ready for warmer weather, though... that's for sure! :o) I think I may have to wait awhile longer for that! Here are some fun new EmJ pictures...We have a tall table and EmJ loves to hide under it... this is the big grin she flashes when she is "found!"

After naptime EmJ gets some juice and a snack... and lately she's been asking to watch "BobLarry" (VeggieTales) while she has snack. She'll only watch while she eats and then she's up and playing (which is fine with me!), but super cute all the same!
